What's the difference between the retainer and project-based model?
The retainer is a monthly partnership. You get a set number of design hours every month, and we work on whatever you need: new features, landing pages, app screens, brand assets. It's ideal if you have ongoing design needs and want a dedicated team without hiring in-house. Project-based means we scope a specific deliverable (like an app redesign or a new website), agree on a fixed price and timeline, and work until it's done. Best for one-time projects with a clear start and end.
What counts as "one active task at a time"?
One active task means we focus on a single design request until it's complete before moving to the next one. A task could be a landing page, a set of app screens, a pitch deck, or any scoped piece of work. This isn't a limitation. It's how we deliver quality. Parallel work leads to divided attention. Focused work leads to better results, faster.
How does communication work during a project?
We're flexible. We can use messengers, email or your team productivity system like Slack, Linear etc.. You'll have a dedicated point of contact who keeps everything organized. We provide regular updates, share work-in-progress through Figma links, and Loom videos when needed. Our typical response time is within a London business hours (GMT+0).
How do unlimited revisions work?
Exactly how it sounds. We revise until you're happy with the result. No revision caps, no extra charges. We believe good design comes from iteration, and we'd rather get it right than get it "done." The only thing we ask is that revision feedback is consolidated (one round of clear notes is faster than ten scattered messages).
Can I pause or cancel my retainer?
Yes. We work on a month-to-month basis. There are no long-term contracts. If you need to pause for a month, just let us know before the next billing cycle. We'd rather have a flexible relationship where you stay because the work is great, not because a contract makes you.
What if I need more hours than my plan includes?
If you consistently need more, we'll suggest upgrading to the Pro plan or scoping additional hours at an agreed rate. If it's a one-time overflow, we'll handle it and figure out the billing together. No surprises, no hidden fees.
Do you only do design, or can you build the website too?
Both. We design everything in Figma, and when it's ready, we can build it in Webflow or Framer. One team handles the entire process, which means no context is lost between design and development. If you have your own dev team, we deliver development-ready files with full specs, assets, and component documentation.
Do you work with startups?
Startups are a big part of what we do. We've designed products for early-stage companies in AI, fintech, and Web3. We understand startup constraints: tight budgets, fast timelines, and the need to impress investors. Our research-first approach actually saves startups money by validating design decisions before committing to development.
How much does a typical project cost?
It depends on scope, but here's a realistic range. A website or landing page design starts from $3,000. A full mobile app UX/UI (30 to 50 screens with research) typically runs $3,000 to $7,000. Larger platform projects with dashboards and multiple user roles start around $10,000. We always share a clear estimate before starting, and we break costs into phases so you know exactly what you're paying for at each step.
How fast will I receive designs?
Most tasks are delivered within 2 to 5 business days, depending on complexity. If a task is large, such as building a website, it is broken down into subtasks. For the retainer, we provide progress updates every 48 hours or sooner, so you always know where things stand. If something is urgent, let us know and we'll adjust priorities. Pro plan clients get priority scheduling with faster turnaround.
